French rugby legend Raphaël Ibañez is coming to Galway

French rugby legend Raphaël Ibañez is coming to Galway next week to take part in the Guinness Area 22 Supporters event in Massimo bar on William Street.

Monsieur Ibañez will be joined by Connacht Rugby captain John Muldoon, Munster hooker Jerry Flannery, and former Irish international Paul Wallace for the event, which will be hosted by journalist and broadcaster Matt Cooper.

The Guinness Area 22 event takes place on Thursday February 10, in advance of the Six Nations Ireland v France game. From 6.30pm to 7pm, the event will be broadcast live on The Last Word on Today FM, where Matt Cooper will interview the four players.

The entire event will be streamed live on www.Facebook.com/GuinnessRugbyIreland and www.todayfm.com French hooker, Raphaël Ibañez captained his national team to back-to-back grand slams in 1997 and 1998, and the Rugby World Cup Final the following year, during an illustrious career that saw him win 98 caps for Les Blues.
