45 new jobs for Galway have been created at the newly opened Supermac's restaurant on the Tuam Road. The news is being viewed positively in the Galway area, with both full-time and part-time positions having been filled quickly. Located beside Monaghan Motors at the Tuam Road Roundabout, the restaurant is the 100th Supermac's restaurant to be opened in Ireland. The restaurant also offers a drive thru system, now making meals convenient for motorists throughout the day and night.
Speaking at the momentous opening, Managing Director of Supermac's and Galway man Pat McDonagh, said "Supermac's is delighted to provide such a high number of jobs in the Galway area. We were inundated with applications and are very happy with the strong team we now have in place, both in Supermac's and Papa John's.
Mr McDonagh continued, "It's a great achievement for all involved in Supermac's to see our 100th restaurant open. We've had very positive feedback throughout the county of Galway in the last 32 years Supermac's has been in the business on the quality of food and service we offer. We will continue to offer excellent quality in our new restaurant on the Tuam Road. We are extremely pleased with how the restaurant has turned out and would like to thank our strong team of staff as well as the hard work of local Galway builders, tradesmen and suppliers who worked tirelessly to have the restaurant finished to such a high standard."

Supermac's is one of Ireland's largest indigenous fast food chains which also operate the pizza company Papa John's Ireland. Supermac's also has plans to open further new stores during the coming year. This in turn will generate employment on a local and national level adding to its existing 2'500 plus employees.
