Joyce’s is to open its newest and most extraordinary retail store yet in Tuam, Co Galway, today Thursday at 12 noon, creating up to 50 jobs locally.
Pat Joyce, managing director of Joyces, says this kind of local investment will provide local people with first-class shopping facilities in their own community.
“Joyce’s has traded in Headford, Galway, since 1951 and it has been successful beyond our wildest dreams. Since then we have opened stores in Knocknacarra in 1999 and Athenry in 2005. Now we are thrilled to open our fourth store in Tuam. We are conscious that we need to meet the needs of a growing community and provide the value, range, and quality that shoppers deserve in a modern convenient location.
“This considerable investment in Tuam indicates our confidence in the local economy and the demand from local shoppers for the first class service Joyce’s provides. We think that Joyce’s Supermarket is going to be a favourite shopping destination for people in Tuam and the surrounding areas, offering a great range of products at fantastic value and excellent customer facilities, as well as extensive free car parking,” said Mr Joyce.
The 20,000 sqft development will entail a considerable investment by the independent Joyce’s Group, and will create at least 50 new jobs in Tuam. Joyce’s are well known throughout Galway for their support of local community development where they are fully committed to supporting numerous charities and deserving causes throughout the Galway area.
Support of locally produced goods distinguishes Joyce’s in the area, with many goods sourced from Irish suppliers, including 100 per cent Irish fresh meat.
With a strong emphasis on customer service and providing quality, locally sourced, and competitively priced goods, Joyce’s supermarkets have become an invaluable resource in the Galway area, and will now be employing more than 300 people throughout their stores.
The new Joyce’s Tuam Store will be open from 8am to 10pm Monday to Sunday.
