Connacht await news of Super 14 centre

Niva Ta’auso, Connacht’s Super 14 signing, is expected to arrive in Ireland in the next three weeks, but he will not be action for some time.

The Otago Highlander and Counties Manukau centre broke his arm while playing for Counties Manukau in the Air New Zealand Cup, and it is hoped he will have recovered in time for Connacht’s crunch clash with Ulster late next month.

It is understood he broke his arm playing against Taranaki on September 26 when the sides drew 13 - 13. The recovery time was estimated at eight weeks
