The Claddagh Ice Rink was branded “not acceptable” by Niall O Brochain this week as fears have surfaced after 2006’s events which saw the ice rink take off and land in the Corrib!
“To be re-instated in the Claddagh’s South Park would not be acceptable” said Cllr O Brolchain. Cllr Niall O Brolchain came on the scene when the tent covering the rink took flight with the wind and finished up landing in the water, thankfully nobody was injured.
“I would hope that a new location will be found rather than allowing a tent to be erected in South Park to face the gale force winter winds coming in from the Atlantic”, concluded Cllr O Brolchain.
