Starbucks opens its first Galway café in NUIG

Global coffee house Starbucks has opened its first Galway café on campus in NUI Galway, as part of the university’s redesign of its 800-seat restaurant, An Bhialann.

The introduction of Starbucks is part of an investment of c€3.5 million by Ireland’s food services division ARAMARK, Campbell Catering, and NUIG.

Ann Duggan, NUIG’s conference/catering manager said: “NUI Galway prides itself on providing a quality service to all its staff and students, the campus now boasts 14 restaurants which provide healthy eating options for a community of over 17,500 staff and students.”
