Galway Museum will be the venue for the third annual Employment Supports Day today (Thursday ) from10am to 3.30pm.
Obair, the Local Employment Service of Galway City Partnership in conjunction with the Social Inclusion Group of Galway City Development Board, is hosting the event.
Agencies such as Social Protection, FÁS, the VEC and other groups, such as the Galway Peoples’ Resource Centre who are working with people currently out of paid work can share information in an informal setting. About 12 organisations and groups providing employment, training and education supports in the city will attend.
There will also be a CV clinic on the day so if you think your CV needs some first aid bring it along with you. There will be trained staff there to give you some pointers on how to best present your skills and experience.
Representatives from Pretty Fingers, a social enterprise project, will attend providing free hand massages and manicures.
