Lexus has unveiled the IS 250 convertible, the third model in the firm’s entry level range. This coupe/cabriolet is a rival to the likes of BMW’s 3-Series drop-top – is a proper four-seater with a three-piece metal roof that folds flat into the boot in 20 seconds. It will go on sale here by next summer.

Less loudly spoken about in Paris is the fact that the full IS range has been revised. Why? Well because you’d never know it because it is beneath the skin. It is said that diesel emissions have been reduced in the 220d and also that there have been improvements to the brakes, the suspension, and the steering.

The range-topping LS460 AWD was there. It had debuted in Moscow a couple of months ago. There was also a new crossover concept called the LF-Xh. It is a 4x4 hybrid that uses a V6 engine and not one, but two electric motors.
