Strong and visionary leadership is what is required if businesses are to overcome the tough economic times currently being experienced — this was the message coming loud and clear from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD ) at their annual gala event hosted by the Clayton Hotel and sponsored by CCP Recruitment last week.
. Leaders from all sectors of the human resource profession were attracted to the glamorous event for the rare opportunity to meet and discuss how the current economic and financial constraints influence the employment market.
This year the event was hosted by Phil Cawley from Today FM and attracted a large crowd. Focused on the role of great leadership as a catalyst for change, Michelle Kilcar, Director of CCP Recruitment impressed the importance of business leaders to now, more than ever, rise to the challenge of inspiring their people with a clear and positive vision of the future.

Chairperson for the Western Region CIPD, Jacqueline O’Dowd, discussed how the institute has gone from strength to strength bringing record numbers to this years event which was a sell out success.
