Johnny Connolly still remembers the first time he got his hands on a melodeon and he will discuss that and his music career since on Se Mo Laoch on TG4 this Sunday.
On the programme, Johnny will tell how his parents were heading away for the day from their home on Inis Bearacháin, Connemara, to see the currach races in Leitir Mór.
Johnny was to stay at home and was very disappointed. His sister told him where his parents kept the melodeon. He spent the rest of the day playing. He’s still playing today.
