ISPCC appoint community fundraiser

Áine Kilgallon has been appointed Community Fundraiser at the Irish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Galway.

Under the Citizen Child strategy the ISPCC currently provides the following services to children:

Childline: A free phone telephone, web and text listening service for children.

Child focus: Provides home based support to vulnerable children under 12 years old.

Teen focus: Provides a mentoring and counselling service to children who are at risk from drugs and alcohol abuse.

Leanbh: Works with vulnerable children begging or at risk on the streets.

The main goal of the fundraising department in Galway and the West is to grow the ISPCC’s presence in the west and ensure that the ISPCC has a positive impact on children’s lives in the area and beyond.

Áine joins ISPCC from Galway Simon Community, where she was the fundraiser for six years.

She has a wealth of experience in fundraising and PR. She graduated from NUIG with a B.Comm. and holds a Certificate in Fundraising Management as well as an H-Dip in PR. She also holds the voluntary position as vice – president of Network Galway.
