Getting active, maintaining fitness and enjoying yourself are all part of keeping your heart healthy and Croí The West of Ireland Cardiac Foundation are offering places in local runs and hikes this summer.
Streets of Galway
The Street of Galway will take place on August 7 and you can register for this 8km run or walk on www.croi.ie Once you register you can also nominate your ‘Heart Hero’; a family member, friend or loved one who has been impacted by Heart Health issues. You may also be your own ‘Heart Hero’ and take on this popular challenge. Each participant will receive a specially designed T-shirt with the names of all the Heroes.
Ramble in Connemara with Croí
In the tranquil setting of Lough Inagh on August 21 and 22 the Croí Ramble will set of from Lough Inagh Lodge. Day 1 is a guided route along the valley to the picturesque Leenane. There is an option for an overnight stay at Lough Inagh Lodge with dinner and entertainment by local musicians. On Sunday the ramblers will have a choice of either a hike up the Maumturks or a relaxing walk around the banks of Lough Inagh.
