Western enterprises to gain advice to drive business further

Practical marketing skills will be the order of the day next Wednesday (June 30 ) when the An Post Driving Success Roadshow arrives in Galway with business guru, Bobby Kerr of Insomnia and The Dragon’s Den fame, and some of the country’s top marketing experts ready to share their experiences and business tips with local and regional enterprises.

Looking to provide SMEs in the West with real marketing knowledge and skills to help drive their business, the marketing specialists will deliver tools for local businesses to implement so that they can maximise their marketing budgets.

Speaking in advance of the Roadshow, Liam Sheehan, Sales and Marketing Director, An Post said the roadshow provides an opportunity for business people in the West to get an expert view on increasing their returns from marketing investments. Today’s customers want to hear about things that are relevant to them, and they have become increasingly sensitive to special offers and promotions. The Roadshow will give them the essential tools to deliver these successfully, encouraging their customers to return again and again.

Commenting on their choice of marketing methods to date, Sales and Marketing Manager at Knockranny House Hotel & Spa Mayo, Mairéad Melody said, “As a luxury four star hotel we have found direct marketing to be a very cost-effective method of marketing our hotel. It forms an integral part of our overall marketing strategy and has allowed us to target customers with greater accuracy than any other method. Direct marketing has been very beneficial in generating sales, raising Knockranny’s overall profile and most importantly in maintaining a very loyal customer base”.
