Win a pair of ‘two-day entrance caps’ to the star-studded JP McManus Invitational Golf Pro-Am at Adare Manor

The eyes of the world will be on Tiger Woods when he returns to Ireland next week for the JP McManus Invitational Golf Pro-Am at Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort in Adare, Co Limerick.

Woods, who won the event in 2000, has confirmed his appearance at the charity event, which takes place on July 5 and 6.

While Woods may grab the headlines, Irish golfer Graeme McDowell will also attract a huge following, fresh from his exploits at the USA Golf Open.

Among the who’s who of the golf world are fellow Irish golfers Padraig Harrington, who is set to defend the title he won at the last event in 2005, Rory McIlroy, and Paul McGinley.

They will tee off alongside a glittering line-up of celebrities that include actors Michael Doughlas, Samuel L Jackson, Kyle MacLachlan, Aidan Quinn and Hugh Grant, sporting stars Martin O’Neill, Harry and Jamie Redknapp, and Niall Quinn, Irish dance master Michael Flatley, and Westlife.

This year is the sixth staging of the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am, which has raised more than €55m since 1990. Charity teams have also qualified to play in the Pro-Am and all money raised supports mid-western charities and groups in their work with the underprivileged and disadvantaged.

Staying with tradition, this year’s entrance fee is a “cap” which costs €50 for the two days, but this year spectators can choose from one of eight different coloured "two day entrance caps" representing Ireland, Munster Rugby, and each of the Munster counties.

The caps can be purchased on the website on www.jpmcmanusproam.com or at selected retail outlets.
