THE RED Alert Film and Book Club will mark International Refugee Day by showing the award-winning 2005 film Gypo.
This family drama covers three different sides to the story of a working-class family breakdown when the teenage daughter befriends a refugee girl.
The film stars Pauline McLynn (Fr Ted, Shameless ), Paul McGann (Withnail and I ) and Rula Lenska (Minder, To The Manor Born ).
Gypo will be screened in Monroe’s Tavern, Dominick Street, this Sunday at 8.30pm. Admission is free.
