Website launched by Galway Taxi Association

A new website has been launched this week by the Galway Taxi Association providing a forum for customers to make complaints or suggestions and for taxi drivers to remain informed about issues affecting the industry.

The Galway Taxi Association (GTA ) launched the website, www.gta2010.net, on Tuesday and now taxi customers will have another avenue, other than the taxi regulator, to make a complaint or suggestion about issues affecting the industry. The website will also allow taxi drivers to keep up to date with matters concerning the operation of taxis.

The website homepage shows that the GTA, which stands by the motto ‘Fair Play To All’, works to promote the interests of taxi drivers “by addressing the issues that affect the industry in Galway city”. It goes on to state that the GTA will work closely with An Garda Siochana, the Galway City Council, and the Taxi Regulator “to provide a professional and efficient service to the people of Galway”.

The website features a discussion board where topics of concern can been thrashed out, a newsletter section, a monthly poll, and a contact link.
