The Joyce family has been involved in the grocery business since 1951 when Patrick C. Joyce Senior established himself as village grocer in Headford, Co. Galway. His son, Pat Joyce, took over in 1979, and successfully developed the family business, opening stores in Knocknacarra and Athenry.

With a strong emphasis on customer service and providing quality, locally sourced and reasonably priced goods, Joyce’s supermarkets have become an invaluable resource in the Galway area, now employing more than 250 people.
