IN-FEST ‘10 - a weekend of ruthless punk

IN-FEST ‘10, the new alternative music festival in Galway, will see 18 bands from across Ireland and Britain descend on our city for a weekend of ruthless punk and thrilling live music.

IN-FEST ‘10 takes place upstairs in Richardson’s, Eyre Square, tomorrow and Saturday, from 7pm.

Tomorrow will see performances from I’ll Eat Your Face, Visceral Attack, Them Martyrs, People Of The Monolith, Chirps, We Come in Pieces, and SHIT.

Also playing that night are the excellent Galway band Neifenbach. The band - Eamon (guitar ), Liadain (vocals ), Benny (drums ), Nicola (bass ), and Daniel (guitar/vocals ) - recently released an very impressive EP, Reason Will Falter, which combines metal and hardcore, but avoids the clichés of the metalcore genre.

On Saturday there will be sets from Hey Collosus, who are making their Irish debut; Murdock, re-appearing after a long hiatus; Hope is Noise; Realistic Train; Rites, the brilliant Blasterbra, led by Anna McCarthy; Galway’s The Guts, who have just released their debut four track EP, and Gummidge.

The festival is organised by Us vs Them and Randal Records. Doors are €7 per night or €10 for both nights. Doors are at 7pm each night.
