A CHORAL concert, spanning four centuries and four different languages, takes place in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church, tomorrow.
The concert will feature the Galway Choral Association adult and youth choirs, the Galway Baytones, and the Casper Civic Chorale from Wyoming performing a mixture of sacred and secular music.
The music will cover the 17th to the 20th centuries with songs in English, Latin, French and German. The concert will culminate in a massed choir performance of the Negro spiritual ‘Set Down Servant’.
All funds raised from the concert will go towards Cancer Care West. The funds will be used for the development of cancer support services and in particular the funding of a 20 bedroom extension to Inis Aoibhinn.
