COMEDIAN, ACTOR, sketch writer, and Arsenal fan, Joe Rooney is a brilliant comedian and one of the most popular of Irish comics on the circuit today.
Joe Rooney will be making Galway audience laugh again when he plays the monthly First Friday Comedy Club at the CO-OP in Moycullen continues tomorrow at 9pm.
Joe played barfly Timmy in Kilnascully while in Fr Ted he played the unforgettable rebel priest Fr Damo who uttered the memorable line: “Who do you prefer Blur or Oasis?”
However, it is as a stand-up that his star truly shines. Joe’s charismatic style is a mixture of hilarious observations on modern Ireland (from multiculturalism to alternative medicines ) and rip roaringly funny musical parodies.
