FIRST FRIDAY COMEDY CLUB AT THE CO-OP

FOLLOWING THE spectacular launch in early May, the monthly 'First Friday' Comedy Club at the CO-OP Moycullen continues on the Bank Holiday weekend with another strong line-up on Friday June 4. Stand-up comic, voice over artist, writer and actor Joe Rooney has many strings to his huge and acomplished bow.

As barfly Timmy from Kilnascully he has become one of Ireland’s most popular luadars’ and the butt of many of Dan Clancy’s jokes. In Fr Ted he played the unforgettable rebel priest Fr Damo who uttered the memorable line "Who do you prefer Blur or Oasis?" However it is as a stand-up that his star truly shines.

Joe's charismatic style is a mixture of hilarious observations on moderen Ireland (from multiculturalism to alternative medicines ) and rip roaringly funny musical parodies. He has appeared on The Late Late Show, The Tubridy Show,The Stand Up Show and has toured the UK, Europe, and the USA extensively.

Support comes from the other side of Lough Corrib so to speak, in the shape of Danny Dowling. Once again the MC for the evening is Gerry Mallon.Tickets are available in advance from the CO-OP and on the night at the door which opens at 9pm. Admission includes free entry to the late bar/club after the show.
