Galway’s first hotel to receive FAS Excellence Through People Award

Days Hotel Galway has recently achieved the FAS Excellence Through People Award.

The hotel is Galway’s first hotel to achieve this standard. Excellence Through People is Ireland’s National Human Resource Management Standard which incorporates areas such as business planning and quality improvement, effective communication, training and development, and employee well-being. This is a fantastic achievement for the hotel and the management and staff are proud to be the first hotel in Galway to set this standard.

This year Days Hotel Galway has also retained its Failte Ireland – Optimus Service Excellence Award, which the hotel first achieved in 2007. Optimus- is a unique symbol of excellence, managed by Failte Ireland and independently assessed by the Centre of Competitiveness N.I. for the Tourism business. The achievement and retention of the award is a culmination of a rigorous journey to excellence. For the Hotel’s customers it is an assurance that the hotel’s business operates to world class standards.

It has really being an outstanding year for the Hotel, who in April 2008, was credited with achieving the Hotel of the Year for 2007 out of all the 38 Hotels operated in Ireland, Great Britain, and Mainland Europe by the Prem Group. Pictured at the ceremony are Jim Larkin, Karen Stace, Rachel Barrett, Karen Barrett and Slava Ziarnitski.
