THERE WILL be a night of jazz from a group of musicians, who come from all over Europe, but are known collectively as The Matthew Berrill European Quintet.
The Matthew Berrill European Quintet will play The Crane Bar, Sea Road, on Monday at 9pm.
The band are Galwegian Matthew Berrill (clarinet and alto sax ); Slovakians Miro Herak (vibes ) and Michal Vanoucek (piano ); Frenchman Brice Soniano; and Switzerland’s David Meier (drums ).
The musicians began playing together in the Canadian Rockies at the Banff International Workshop for Jazz and Creative music in 2009. The show will feature new works by Matthew as well as his jazz arrangements of traditional Irish music.
