A charity comedy showdown

A COMEDY showdown, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, featuring 16 comedians, will take place in Kelly’s, Bridge Street, on Sunday at 8.30pm.

Two comedians at a time will go head-to-head and each has two minutes to impress the audience. The audience votes with their applause and laughter and one comedian goes through to round two. The eight left in round two have three minutes each head-to head, with the same method of elimination.

The four comedians in round three have four minutes each and the two comedians left standing in the final have five minutes each to win the competition. All proceeds from the night go to the Irish Cancer Society. The MC will be Bob Hennigan.

Tickets are €10 and available from Kelly’s Bar.
