Galway actress takes lead role in Irish/Czech feature film

GALWAY ACTRESS Maria Anastacia Keogh will be heading to the Czech capital Prague, for work on the Irish/Czech feature film The Doubleganger.

Cuchulainn Productions has wrapped filming in Ireland on the set of The Doubleganger. Work is now completed on the Portlaoise and Dublin shoots and the next section of filming takes place in Prague.

The Doubleganger tells the story of Cillian, played by Czech actor Josef Krcek (The Austro-Hungarian Empire ), a talented musician who craves fame. He meets Angelina, played by Maria Anastacia Keogh (The London Underground, Waiting for Dublin ), a singer and street busker who changes his life.

The film is directed and edited by Josef Krcek, written by John Fox (The Supreme Court ), produced by Joe Gavin (Moon Machine ), and the director of photography is Brenda Fingleton.

Also featured in the cast are Stuart Dunne (Fair City ), Valeria Bandio (Charlie Casanova ), and Hannah McDonnell (The Fading Light ). The Doubleganger is funded by the Laois Arts Council.
