GTI hosts week long fashion fiesta for charity

A week long fashion fiesta, which will be produced and presented by students of Galway Technical Institute’s fashion studio, will run from May 10 to 14.

The event, which will incorporate fashion shows, exhibitions, Mad Hatter tea party, and a competition, etc, will raise vital funds for Cancer Care West.

Daily events will include fashion shows at the BORN store, Newtownsmith on Monday May 10 and on Wednesday May 12 at Zebra, Prospect Hill at 1.30pm and 3.30pm, a free fashion exhibition from Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm at the Galway City Museum, live windows at Powells, BTs, BORN and Anthony Ryans from 12pm to 4pm on

Thursday and a Mad Hatters tea party at 3pm at Busker Browne’s. The highlight will be the finale, an outdoor fashion show at the Spanish Arch featuring local designers and boutiques, as well as showcasing original work by GTI students.
