Irish language summer camps launched

Conradh na Gaeilge has launched this year’s new Irish summer camp schedule for County Galway.

This year Conradh na Gaeilge is hoping to organise 15 camps throughout the county, the largest number of summer camps organised to date.

Conradh na Gaeilge’s Irish language summer camps are suitable for children from eight to 14 years of age, with the exception of some camps that also cater for children from the ages of five to seven years. There are a variety of activities organised daily, all through the medium of Irish, including music, drama, sport, and art, giving children the chance to learn in an enjoyable and fun environment.

The teachers are highly qualified with several years’ experience, and the ratio of children to each teacher is kept low. The summer camps start at 10am each day and continue on until 3pm.

Fees are very reasonable, and there is also a discount available for households with more than one child.

Further information and application forms are available from Conradh na Gaeilge at (091 ) 567824, email [email protected]

This year for the first time parents can register and reserve places on the summer camps through Conradh na Gaeilge’s national website at www.cnag.ie Summer camp spaces are in high demand each year, and it is advisable to book your child’s place as early as possible.
