Now celebrating its second year, Kilcolgan Educate Together is holding an information evening for new and prospective parents.
The school was set up by a group of parents in order to educate children in a multi-denominational, child-centred setting, that encourages parental involvement.
Since opening in September 2008, numbers have more than doubled and look set to grow for the next number of years.
Educate Together is a mainstream school, which covers the required curriculum with the exception of religious instruction. Being multi-denominational it respects the beliefs of each individual, teaching children to 'learn together to live together' and that 'no child is an outsider'. Children explore a variety of world religions as well as concepts of human rights, morality and ethics.
