Lucia seeks Irish singers for six-month US tour

Singers Of United Lands, an organisation based in Michigan, USA, is seeking Irish singers for a six-month tour of the USA and they have asked Lucia Evans to find them.

Each year the organisation forms a new quartet of four singers who are each from a different continent.

The quartet then tours the USA and Canada with most performances taking place in schools and classrooms. The repertoire only features songs native to the home countries of the four selected singers.

Singers who are selected will receive roundtrip transport from their home country to the USA; housing and food for the duration of the tour; a small stipend; and assistance with processing a US work visa.

Applicant qualifications should include choral or ensemble vocal music experience; sight-reading abilities; and interest in their native culture with audiences.

Those interested in applying should submit a recording of at least one solo song, a recording of at least one ensemble/choral song, a CV, a photo, and email addresses and phone numbers of three professional references. The closing date is the end of April.
