Nimmo’s, Ard Bia restaurant has been awarded The Best Casual Dining Award in Connacht from the Restaurant Association of Ireland.
This prestigious award “recognises a restaurant demonstrating outstanding value, service and hospitality” and was presented to Ard Bia at The Irish Restaurant Awards 2010 Connacht Region ceremony in The Ardilaun on Monday.
All county winners will now compete for the Regional and All Ireland Title which will be announced at the Irish Restaurant Awards in the Burlington Hotel Dublin on Wednesday June 9.
Winning in this category is particularly important to owner Aoibheann McNamara who energetically promotes an innovative, hands- on approach to affordable dining.
“Now, more than ever, it is important to be adaptable, creative, to cater for the recession as it were,” she said. “I think by pooling our resources, sharing ideas and thinking like a community we can weather the storm.”
