Flower power

If you want to cut a dash this spring/summer incorporate some floral prints into your wardrobe.

That’s the strong message from the Kate Cooper collection. In its High Society story we see the grace of 1950s styles updated with contemporary elements for a truly modern love story. Lace sits well with waffle fabrics while details remain at the forefront of the range. Team its black and white lace tiered dress with a contrasted ivory bustline with a classy ivory coat with lace panelled hemline and detachable lace cuffs to create a stunning look.

Feminine colours, such as pink, silver and ivory tell a Sweet Sundae story as we see floral accents feature strongly on neutral palettes.

A white tulip dress with floral hemline and pink grosgrain ribbon waistband is complemented further with a choice of evening jackets or shrugs. Team with white collarless gathered necklines or a summer coat with Peter Pan collars and floral borders with oversized matching printed buttons - perfect for that special occasion.

Other high summer dress styles include a range of printed fuchsia, purple, coral and sand dresses for a more relaxed yet right on trend look.

In contrast to some of the more feminine stories there are also high summer regatta tones as nautical elements feature strongly in the new collection. Macs in optic white with oversized collars and contrasted navy embroidered circled detailing on hemlines look great when teamed with 1950s style shift dresses in navy and optic white.

T-shirts have nautical elements especially when worn with a choice of straight or wide leg trousers. Other separates worth noting include an oversized pleated boat neckline, diagonally tied wrap blouse which has a contemporary and global feel. This can be teamed with a graduated floral skirt for a modern romantic look.
