Galway artist Aideen Barry will teach a six evening animation course at Galway Film Centre starting on Tuesday March 23.
The course, aimed at beginners and those with a little knowledge, will show participants how to make their own short animation films using every sort of material including photographs, video, drawings, and clay.
Participants will work with i-stop motion, an easy to use editing package to put their short films together. This type of animation can be seen in the Wallace & Gromit films. Films can be shot on pocket digital cameras, mobile phones, or camcorders. All materials will be provided.
The aim of this course is to enable participants to continue making their own animation films after the course has finished. To view some samples of the tutor’s work, go to the training page of Galway Film Centre’s website.
