First stills released from TV adaptation of Ken Bruen’s The Guards

The Guards, the pilot TV movie for the prime time series based on the novels by the internationally acclaimed Galway crime novelist Ken Bruen, is completed.

A number of stills from the production have been circulated while the TV series is now in development by independent Galway production company Magma Films.

Iain Glen (Kingdom of Heaven, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil ) will play the Jack Taylor character and the film will also star Ralph Brown (Alien 3, Life on Mars ) as Sutton, as well as Tara Breathnach (The Tudors ), Nora-Jane Noone (The Magdalene Sisters ), and Paraic Breathnach (Kilnascully ).

Future episodes of the series will be based on Bruen novels The Killing Of The Tinkers, The Dramatist, Cross, and Sanctuary.
