Galway’s leading independent chic boutiques will take to the catwalk at the exclusive Halo charity show, The Wow Factor, on Thursday October 16, and crown Galway as the west of Ireland’s number one fashion retail destination.
Style and sophistication will be the order of the day at the show. The fashion extravaganza will continue to fundraise for the Galway Hospice again this year — a charity that has been taken deep into Galway’s hearts through the fantastic work it carries out for the local community.
This one of a kind fashion show brings together nine of Galway’s leading stores to showcase their beautiful clothing. To add to the sophistication stakes there will be an evening wear finale at the event, with stunning creations specifically designed for Halo’s show by the exclusive Tipperary designer Marion Murphy-Cooney.
The show this year will also be MC’d by the beautiful Sybil Mulcahy from TV3’s Xpose and one of the eagerly awaited highlights will be the best dressed competition which is being sponsored by Galway Now.
“It is very fulfilling to work on this event for all of the team here. This fashion show is in aid of a very worthy case and we are delighted how its success builds year on year,” said Paula Feeney, marketing manager at Halo. “The response and support we receive from the local community is fantastic. Our regular customers are loyal fans of the event, and it’s also great to see people who have never been in the venue before come along to support the charity on the night and to receive their reactions to the high standards of the show.”
Under the professional Mandy Maher, the Catwalk Model Agency will present fashions from Colette Latchford, Elegant Undies, Kiss Boutique, Madison, Rococo, Select, Squisito, Sugar Pink, and the Galway Hat Shop, along with Marion Murphy-Cooney’s designs. Models’ hair for the event will be created by Bellissimo, with models’ make up provided for the night by Rachel O’Donnell and Audrey Byron.
