Connemara Coast celebrates award for sourcing fresh local produce

The Connemara Coast Hotel, Furbo Galway, celebrates its inclusion in the 2010 Bridgestone Guide for its reputation of sourcing and using quality local artisan products along with its reputation for its commitment to service. The hotel is also included in the 2010 Bridgestone Good Food Guide.

The Bridgestone Guide is the “Food Bible” in the world of Irish gastronomy. John and Sally McKenna conduct discreet inspections of establishments throughout the country ranging from boutique delicatessens, restaurants, bespoke cafes and hotels of special interest.

“It is a wonderful accolade to be included in the 2010 Bridgestone Guide” commented Ms Ann Downey, general manager at the hotel, “it reflects our continued focus on ensuring all of our guests receive the finest quality food using only the freshest local ingredients. Our sister property Brooks Hotel in Dublin is also honoured to feature in the 2010 Bridgestone Guide.”

The Bridgestone Award compliments the hotels recent achievements - the Green Energy Award for environmental policies, Fáilte Ireland’s Optimus Mark of Best Practice Award and the Irish Accommodation Services Institute Award for the cleanliness and quality appointment of their guest bedrooms. If you are planning an informal lunch for two or a large banquet, the Connemara Coast Hotel only eight miles from Galway city and its spectacular coastal views is the perfect venue for you.
