Ryan’s spring fashion show to raise funds for Childline

A city fashion show, billed as a not-to-be missed night in Galway’s social calendar, will raise vital funds for the local branch of Childline.

Anthony Ryan’s spring/summer fashion show will be held in The Ardilaun Hotel on Monday March 8 at 8.30pm.

International fashion models Pippa O’Connor and Sarah McGovern are among the top names to grace the catwalk modelling collections from labels such as Renata, Daniella, Kate Cooper, Salsa, DEPT and Dresscode.

These collections mark the start of a new season introducing major trends seen on the catwalks of leading fashion cities. Shoes will be supplied by Premoli and hair will be styled by Barry’s Hair Studio.

The show promises to be a great evening with live entertainment from the Performing Arts School Galway. There will also be a raffle and free handouts. Guests can also enjoy a pre fashion show champagne reception.

Childline is run by the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Its Galway office answered 1,008 calls in the last week from children in need of assistance and help. Nationally Childline answered 11,086 calls. The Galway office is funded locally through fundraising and it needs €250,000 a year to maintain this service.

Tickets for the show are available from Anthony Ryans or at the Galway Childline office based at the Town Park Centre, Tuam Road, Galway. Carmen Taheny is its community fundraiser and can be contacted at (091 ) 752387 or [email protected]
