Hotel Meyrick hosts celebrity wedding with a twist

Hotel Meyrick, located in the heart of Eyre Square will host its inaugural ‘Wedding Taster with a Twist’ on Saturday February 6, 2010.

TG4 Ros na Run stars Caitríona Ní Loideán (Maire Eilis Ní Fhlaithearta ) and Gary Mc Bride (Seamus Moran, formerly Mike Gleeson in RTE’s Fair City ) will take on the role of the ‘Newly Weds’ and the pair certainly promise to entertain guests at the unique wedding showcase, adding a twist or two to the occasion. Side-splitting comedian Alan Shortt will play the holier than holy priest, giving the couple their marital blessing on their big day with the evening aimed at exhibiting the hotel to brides and grooms-to-be in search of the perfect wedding venue.

The evening will begin with a glitzy champagne reception at 7pm followed by a scrumptious four-course meal which will be served in the hotel’s majestic ballroom, where hearty speeches and amusing calamities will be provided by the ‘Bridal Party’ on the night. After the couple’s first dance, there will by live music ‘til the early hours.
