The Galway City Community Forum is seeking input from the public for its online survey on cycling and walking in Galway.
The information gathered in the survey will help the forum put together its submission for the proposed walking and cycling strategy for the city. The survey aims to build a picture of the pedestrian and cyclist experience in Galway and includes comment boxes that people can use to highlight local issues.
“We need to ensure that the survey is completed by a substantial number of local residents to ensure its authenticity before we submit and publicise the results,” said forum chair Nuala O’Hara. “The results could considerably assist our work to achieve proper cyclist/pedestrian infrastructure.”
The Forum survey is separate from the recent Galway City Council survey and is intended to complement the council survey by exploring a separate range of issues.
“Anyone who did the city council survey should also do our survey so we can compare and combine the results,” said Ms O’Hara
The survey can be accessed by going to the ‘Notice Board’ page at www.galwaycityforum.ie/notice php alternatively it can also be accessed via the Galway Cycling Campaign web site at www.galwaycycling.org
