Galway company hosts only Irish AutoCAD University event

The Autodesk University(AU ), held each December in Las Vegas, is the world’s largest learning and networking event for AutoCAD users.

This year Autodesk is extending the benefits of AU by sharing classes and content from the event with Authorized Autodesk Training Centres. The result is a new worldwide initiative called Autodesk University Extension, and Galway will be the venue for the only Irish AU event on Tuesday December 8.

Hosted by Amicus Technology, Galway-based AutoCAD engineering software specialist, at its training centre in the Galway Technology Park, Parkmore, this free event is open to all owners, users, and aspiring users of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map 3D, and Autodesk Revit Architecture.

Autodesk University will take place from December 4 to 6. While the training sessions will have been recorded previously, technical specialists will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the training session afterwards. Attendees will also receive all notes and exercise material for the sessions they attend.

The event starts at 8.30am and finishes at 5.30pm but, once registered, participants may attend any or all of the six one-hour sessions, which cover topics from AutoCAD 3D modeling and visualization, finding lost data in drawings, Civil 3D corridor modeling, Revit Architecture in project management, and CAD/GIS integration in MAP 3D.

The event is free but registration is essential as places are limited. To register email mark.green@amicustec,ie or call 091 776122
