Fashion, frolics and fun at The Ardilaun hotel Wedding Fair

It is that time of year when The Ardilaun Hotel is busy preparing for its annual Wedding Fair which takes place on Sunday (November 1 ).

Bigger and better than ever, this year’s fair is open to all brides and grooms-to-be and their families who can visit the fair free of charge.

The Wedding Fair has become hugely popular over the past few years. Guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of hot punch on arrival and a special treat with the cascading chocolate fountain which is an ever-popular stand at the Wedding Fair where you can sample fresh fruit, marshmallows, and other delights dipped in melted milk and white chocolate.

Live entertainment on the day will be provided by the band Silkwood, while the hotel’s ballroom will be packed with a host of wedding necessities and trimmings from more than 45 exhibitors.

A great opportunity to meet with The Ardilaun’s sales and marketing team, visitors can also view the many services and accessories available from the luxurious bridal suite to the manicured gardens and patio area.

An exclusive fashion show is one of the highlights during the fair with Catwalk Models featuring the latest fashion trends for brides, grooms, the wedding party, and mother of the bride. Fashion will be provided by Belladonna, Events by Ray Michael, Marian’s Boutique, Corless Formal Wear, Demora and Martin Feeney Formalwear, accessories will be by Diamonds by Julia and Emily-Jean Designs, with make-up by Avalon Beauty Salon at The Ardilaun.

Exhibitors

Florists, confectioners, jewellers, chauffeurs , photographers, and designers as well as musicians, beauticians, videographers, and make-up artists are among many exhibitors from all around the Galway region and further afield.

A unique demonstration of the award-winning Moposa software, which is offered to Ardilaun couples free of charge, will be held. Couples can save more than €700 from the outset - a welcome bonus in the current climate where value for money and budgets are increasingly important. Moposa software helps couples share more of the experience with friends and family, simplify the wedding planning process, and save time and money along the way.

The online service assists with everything, including the invitation lists, gift lists, budget, schedules, and the all-important seating planner, while also increasing communication between the hotel, couple and guests. Guests can also register online and RSVP directly, book a room in the hotel as well as check out weather forecasts and even get automated, personalised driving directions to the ceremony and reception.

“More than 70 per cent of current Ardilaun couples have availed of this unique service already,” says Maria Kelly, the Ardilaun’s sales and marketing manager.

“One recently married Ardilaun couple planned their whole wedding in less than eight weeks from its launch in August by using the Moposa software. It’s that easy.”

Moposa was recently developed by Eventovate Ltd, overall winners of the recent Bank of Ireland Bright Ideas Challenge Entrepreneurial Award. The company was founded by brothers Jonathan and Jason Ruane, originally from County Sligo, and they are making their debut at their first Wedding Fair on Sunday.
