There were celebrations this week at the official opening of Lumension’s new offices in Galway.
The company, a global leader in endpoint management and security software, announced plans to increase its workforce at its new European headquarters in Mervue Business Park to 45.
The event, which took place last Tuesday, kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mayor of Galway Declan McDonnell and Lumension’s CFO Colleen Shannon. The Galway premises will enable Lumension to further execute on its strategy to broaden its global footprint, strengthen its capabilities, and drive innovation in technology research and development while increasing operational efficiencies.
Speaking at the opening, Ms Shannon said: “Lumension is very excited about the opening of our new office in Galway and we are honoured to have Mayor McDonnell help kick off the celebration. Since the launch of our new operations in Galway two months ago, we have been extremely lucky in building a talented team with strong research and development, customer support and product management capabilities.
Growing in Galway
“We chose Galway because it offers important assets that will help Lumension accelerate its growth, through the talented workforce it offers combined with modern infrastructure. We believe that we have established a strong foothold in the region, and we look forward to growing our team there in the future,” she said.
Lumension has said that it firmly believes the new region will help drive operational excellence due in part to Ireland’s attractive business incentives, further allowing the company to streamline costs across the entire organisation while focusing on technology innovation.
Lumension also plans to grow the Galway team to 45 employees, focusing on technology development, research, product management, and customer support.
Lumension Security Inc develops, integrates, and markets security software solutions that help businesses protect their vital information and manage critical risk across network and endpoint assets.
