Galway boys aged from nine to 11 are being sought for a role in the upcoming film version of Ken Bruen’s novel The Guards and auditions take place this weekend.
The auditions to find a boy to play the role will take place on Saturday from 1pm to 7pm and on Sunday from 10am to 2.30pm in Árus na nGael, Dominick Street. The successful candidate will star alongside Brendan Gleeson in this Connemara-set comedy thriller.
No acting experience is required but good balance and co-ordination on a bicycle is essential. A parent/guardian of the boy must accompany him to the auditions. The casting director will conduct a drama workshop with large groups at one time to get a chance to see as many as possible. Parents/guardians are advised that there may be long waiting times.
No appointment is necessary. For more information contact Nick on 086 - 4041232 or email [email protected]
