Galway Refugee Support Group launches website

The Galway Refugee Support Group will hold a coffee morning on Thursday October 1 between 10.30am and 12 noon to mark the launch of its new website www.grsg.ie

GRSG, a non-governmental organization has been working with refugees and asylum seekers in Galway city and county since it was established in 1998. Since its formation it has grown from a group of volunteers to an organisation which employs a staff of five. The staff together with the board of directors are working to achieve GRSG’s vision of a just and equal society where people seeking asylum have access to fair and transparent procedures, appropriate services, support and resources, and where those granted asylum can fully participate in all aspects of Irish society.

GRSG sees launching its website as an important step in making information more accessible to its target group and to the general public.

The site will enable service users and other organisations working with refugees and asylum seekers to learn more about GRSG, information on the asylum process, download relevant publications and articles, and find out what projects and upcoming events are being run by GRSG.

The GRSG website goes live on Thursday October 1 at www.grsg.ie For more information contact Patricia from the Galway Refugee Support Group on 091 779083 or email [email protected]
