The Forge - Moycullen’s entertainment hub

The Venue at The Forge is fast becoming the entertainment centre of Moycullen and its surrounds.

Featuring live music on a regular basis, the Venue is a specially-dedicated facility upstairs in The Forge which is the perfect home for top Irish acts.

Entertainers Sean Keane and Eleanor Shanley have attracted sell-out crowds to Moycullen, providing a real alternative for music lovers west of Galway city. This weekend The Cunningham Sound, with special guests Oralith Keane, Dessie O’Halloran, and Meaiti Jo Sheamus O’Fhatharta, will wow the audience with a lively foot-stomping show. This vibrant group of young musicians, dancers, and singers teams up with some well-known traditional artists to blend the old with the new in a pacey show.

Later next month Irish comedian Jon Kenny is just what the doctor ordered to take your mind off the country’s recession when he appears live at the Venue on October 24

The Forge has already established a reputation as a superb facility. The Venue can accommodate just 250 people, ensuring its intimate atmopshere is a real plus for the audience who can get up close and personal with the entertainers. The comfortable seating and tables ensure the atmosphere is relaxed and cosy like a sitting room with, of course, the addition of a bar and great service.

The Forge, which is Moycullen’s premier pub, has made a significant contribution to Moycullen since it was opened in An Fuaran six years ago. With a courtesy car available and traditional fine fare, it is now adding to its reputation as the best live venue gig in the area.
