Bags of style for breast cancer

This October designer Orla Kiely will launch a new exclusive accessories collection in Ireland to support Fashion Targets Breast Cancer in aid of Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society and Europa Donna Ireland.

Inspired by the iconic FTBC bull’s eye target symbol, the capsule collection features a graphic pattern in Kiely’s signature style. The target motif is subtly worked into the range through traditional designs. Geometric floral sketches adorn each piece while the centre of each flower bears the distinct target symbol. This is classic Kiely championing a clear message — organic-inspired chic for the thinking woman.

The range will be sold exclusively through Brown Thomas and will hit stores at the beginning of October to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There will be four different styles on showcase; a classic shoulder bag (€160 ), a large book tote bag (€165 ), a zip wallet (€90 ), and a cosmetic bag (€85 ), all with Kiely’s flair for fusing functionality and style. All proceeds will go directly to Action Breast Cancer, (a programme of the Irish Cancer Society ) to provide services for younger women diagnosed with breast cancer, and to Europa Donna Ireland, a patient advocacy group which campaigns for better cancer services nationwide.
