Derma In, founded 1995 by Fosca Grigatti in Italy, has recently opened a studio in Galway situated across from UHG in Newcastle Road. It specialises in cosmetic micro pigmentation. This consists of permanent make up for eyebrows, eyeliner, lipliner, and various other permanent applications for enhancing natural beauty, correcting aesthetic imperfections/asymmetry of the face, and post chemotherapy treatments.
Also on offer are areola reconstruction and scar camouflage. After a careful consultation, the treatment is performed to make it painless for the client, with hypoallergenic pigments and disposable equipment at the highest of European hygiene standards.
Ms Grigatti’s original career was as a dental hygienist for eight years. After that she developed her technique under the guidance of Dr Yolanda Moore from LA, internationally recognised as a pioneer of the micropigmentation industry. This produced the highest professional standards, and clients travelled from all over Italy, France, and Switzerland to her studio near Milan. She can now offer her services in Ireland, and because of recent personal experience, specially to those needing treatment after medical procedures. She believes people should not be penalised for being unlucky with their health and will set rates accordingly.
Also on offer are tattoo and piercing, which complement the aesthetic side of the business. She likes to define the effect of permanent make-up with two Italian words: ‘belli sempre’, meaning ‘always beautiful’. The make-up will always be perfect in the morning, or even after swimming or exercise. For more visit www.permanentmakeuptattoo.com
