Connacht Senior League action kicks off tonight (Thursday ) when Galwegians host city rivals Corinthians at Crowley Park (6.30pm ).
It should prove an interesting encounter between these two sides. Galwegians, who play in division 1B, can expect a tough clash from Corinthians who were promoted to division 2 last season.
Both clubs have bolstered their sides this season. Galwegians welcome former Connacht prop Peter Bracken back to Crowley Park. The 32-years-old has returned to Galway after several seasons in England during which time he won a Heineken Cup medal with Wasps.
Also new to Galwegians are Aifa Esera and Ati Olive from New Zealand. Esera will play in the centre, while Olive, who has been capped for Samoa, plays in the back row. Mark Butler has joined from UL Bohs, while David Clarke has moved from Corinthians.

Corinthians RFC is hosting a unique festival of rugby with Old Crescent Rugby Club on Saturday at Cloonacauneen.
Starting at 12 noon, the club will hold 14 games from u-17 through to men’s over 35.
Old Crescent are travelling from Limerick with 12 teams to compete against Galway Corinthians for the Ken Dolan Memorial Cup.
