Artspace exhibition by Galway artists runs all week

A GROUP exhibition by Galway-based artists Robin Jones, Claire Holian, Eleanor Brennan and Keiran Lyons is taking place in Artspace Studios, Liosban.

The show will feature drawing, print, and installation pieces, and will run until Saturday August 29. Viewing times are from 10am to 3pm Monday to Thursday.

Robin Jones's work consists of small observational gesture drawings relating to the flight characteristics of various insects.

Combining the use of the found object and plaster, Kieran Lyons work is a selection of pieces from his most recent installation 'The five stages of man'.

Eleanor Brennan's drawings incorporate the use of ink to create symmetrical spontaneous patterns, similar to Rorschach's ink blot tests. Her practice is rooted in the self, the manner in which we percieve images, and the way we project meaning onto an image in order to interpret it.

Claire Holian's multimedia based work explores geometric patterns and relationships in nature, looking at reality as myth, math, and metaphor.
