PLC courses at the Presentation

The Presentation Secondary School, Galway, has provided post Leaving Certificate courses since the 1990s. It has built up a strong tradition in equipping its students with skills, particularly in its information technology and business courses.

Participants are equipped with invaluable practical and transferable skills that will remain with them for life. These skills significantly enhance the employment prospects of participants. All the school’s PLC students are offered high quality work experience as an integral part of the course.

Tutoring is of the highest standard; testament to this is the very high success rate of examination candidates.

A significant number have also progressed to further education. Indeed, some participants have deferred their entry to third level in order to participate in the courses and to build up a body of practical skills.

PLC students are eligible to receive grants equivalent to higher education grants. These are means tested and the amount of the grant is dependent on the distance students travel from their place of residence to the school.
