The play is being staged by Galway’s Poor Mouth Productions made up of Ailbhe Harding, Stephen Reilly and Declan O’Loughlin, who completed the MA in Drama and Theatre in NUI, Galway. Their original play, Clamped, won a Jerome Hynes one act play award at the university’s Múscailt festival.
The play is a based around Stan, a young married clamper whose life is passing him by. Unforeseen circumstances require action, but can a man who subscribes to the concept of immobilisation as a means of progression engineer a happy future?
